FIRST OFF, I am a big mountain freeheel (telemark) athlete who's addicted to hucking huge cliffs and skiing big lines fast. I have had the opportunity to work with some amazing photographers, film projects, and other athletes (such as, Megan Michelson) over the past few years and I have also gone in and out, and now back into the Telemark Freeskiing competition scene. Working to push myself and the sport that I love so much has been an incredible journey that has allowed me to to have so many phenomenal experiences. Whether traveling to new places, meeting amazing people, and skiing some of the most incredible mountains in the world, I have been able to live the life I have always dreamed, the one I have been going after since I was two and first put on skis (1984).
I grew up in NY and while for most the Rocky Mountains seemed to be this unimaginable place of rugged nature, for me it was my home away from home that I would get to visit three or four times during the ski season. During those trips I would look to make the most of my time on the mountain as if every turn had to make up for the time I was back in NY. So needless to say the Rockies became my goal, my focus, my dream. To become a professional skier and get to be in these mountains day in and out was my greatest desire. Through perseverance, persistence, and an unwavering sense of conviction, I have been able to live my life's dream.
I look to spread my passion and enthusiasm for the sport by teaching at tele clinics and festivals and guest coaching for the Park City Tele Tribe, a youth based telemark program, and simply, just being out there everyday, pushing the boundaries and opening the doors of all that is possible in hopes of inspiring others to do the same.
