      Join Crystal Mountain, evo and SheJumps for a female backcountry clinic. Whether you're new to the backcountry or have your Avalanche certs, this clinic will be a fun, informative forum to connect with other ladies interested in leaving the men behind!

      We’ll start out with a classroom session at evo in Seattle April 7. Pick up your goodie bag and discuss backcountry safety with top Crystal Mountain Pro Patrollers while indulging in wine and light apps. Beacons will be hidden throughout the store for practice- as well as gear specials.

      Saturday will begin with a quick meet up over pastries and coffee at Crystal Mountain before breaking into groups, with former World Freeskiing Tour champ Laura Ogden and writer and pro skier Molly Baker leading the charge. Conditions will dictate where the day takes us, but be assured that you will get time to practice with your beacon, probe and shovel, tour Crystal’s amazing backcountry and connect with other rad women.

      The day will end with a wine and cheese tasting in the Summit House Restaurant, at the top of the new Mt. Rainier Gondola.

      No formal event is scheduled for Sunday, but we encourage all participants to link up with each other, get outside and play!

      Skiers, telemarkers and splitboarders are all welcome. No gear? No problem. Some demos will be available.

      Clinic is $49, which includes both days, wine and food costs. The decision to ride the lifts for an extra boost into the backcountry will be made depending on conditions. Lift tickets will be available for $25 if needed.
