Project Nau!

Comment on this Post Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket The following excerpt was taken from Jumper Emilie Lee's blog. Emilie and musician Lucas Reynolds teamed up to create a film for Nau clothing company called "Finding Balance." Both are amazing artists, check it out ... For a long time I have been thinking of trying to animate my collage-style art, so the viewer can see what the piece looks like throughout the creation process. All the animations in this film are hand made and I scanned each frame one at a time (there are thousands). I think there is probably an easier way to do this, but I haven't figured it out yet. I put in 13 hour days on the animations for 10 days. I'm really glad I tried it and I'm happy with the way it turned out. I'm also really psyched that we finished it in under a month! It feels good to be done. Panic in Idaho ... we think we just lost everything! About this guy LUCAS REYNOLDS ... It was so fun to work with Lucas on this project! We grew up in the same community and have been friends for a long time. Over the last five or six years, we've talked a lot about what it means to be able to pursue our passions for art and music. This film expresses many of those thoughts. Luke works super hard and has unstoppable optimism. The songs he writes and performs are the kind you find yourself wanting to listen to over and over again. I've been lucky to be listening to all the unreleased tracks for his next record and let me tell you ... it's gonna be AWESOME dude! One of those songs is "Every War Ends Up The Same" which we used in this film. You can listen to a few of his new songs on MySpace, and you can buy the album "Burning In The Sun" by his former band BLUE MERLE on iTunes. WATCH THE SHOW
