AMERICA LOVED Hannah Hardaway when she was tearing up the mogul skiing scene in the 1990s, because she wasn’t only an amazing bump skier but also an adorable blonde with big dimples. As a U.S. Freestyle Ski Team member, Hardaway won three U.S. championships, five junior titles, and was fifth in the 2002 Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City. Now as a Jackson resident, Hardaway prefers to ski powder at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort backcountry. As a sponsored athlete for Salomon, she spends much of her time developing products and traveling extensively for magazine stories or Salomon events. She once owned an environmentally friendly furniture company, but her real love is travel photography and hopes to study the art form in school soon. In the meantime, Hardaway will keep artistically keen by decorating and playing with her many hula-hoops. — Vanessa Pierce
