In November, SheJumps Regional Director Ashley Magnuson held a "jump" camp for Colorado members at trampoline and indoor ski jump facility Woodward @ Copper Mountain. As one of the 13 attendees, it was certainly a fun time! In true SheJumps fashion our group was comprised of women of all levels of boarding/skiing. We had four wonderful female coaches who slowly and surely eased us from tumbling basics—somersaults and cork somersaults on wedge mats—to trampoline fundamentals—high bouncing, spins and flips into foam pit—and eventually to hit the indoor ski jumps into foam pits. Some of us even sent 360s or backflips off the big ski jump (way to make it look easy Ashley)! Everyone learned something; whether it was finding new balance on our skis/boards, trying a new trick, trying a trick for the first time or simply laughing at ourselves in the face of newness and challenge. It was wonderful to hear the supportive comments and advice being swapped amongst our budding Chapter. SheJumps Colorado Chapter profusely thanks Woodward at Copper Program Manager Phoebe Mills for inviting us to this amazing facility and learning center. —Leah Fielding, Associate Editor and SJ CO Front Range Coordinator
